Responsibilities & Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively within the data engineering team supporting the planning, design, and execution of tests to determine data quality and integrity.
  • Evaluate and identify potential system and process enhancements
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test scenarios, and test cases
  • Develop and maintain automated tests of ETL and analytical processes
  • Document test results and defects, track and manage defects and work with business analysts to troubleshoot issues
  • Work with data science stakeholders to ensure requirements are documented, understood, covered by tests, and accurately tested
  • Ensure the data engineering team releases high quality work that meets stakeholders needs

 

Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in data analytics or related field
  • Experience with ETL tools
  • Demonstrated experience with relational databases, data lakes, or other cloud data stores
  • Experience managing data including creation, updates, and deletion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Azure Data Platform technologies
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure SQL
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
