The Data Engineer will work as a part of a dedicated data warehousing team to design and implement ETLs for both internal and external data sets. They will also be responsible for collaborating with the Data Science team to support their work and assist with data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETL processes in a cloud environment
• Document datasets for data warehouse consumers
• Serve as a technical resource for Data Science team

Crucial Skills/Experience - A good candidate will have all of these:

• 3+ years of experience building ETL processes
• 2+ years of experience with one or more cloud-hosted databases (Azure SQL Hyperscale, Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks), preferably in Azure.
• Strong understanding of ETL principles and practices
• Excellent SQL skills

Additional Skills/Experience - A great candidate will have several of these

• Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies
• Exposure to Azure AD and RBAC
• Experience utilizing third-party ETL tools (FiveTran, Qlik Replicate, DBT)
• Experience with Powershell, Python, or other scripting languages
• Experience managing semi-structured data
