Responsibilities & Requirements

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategy to increase brand awareness of Bonterra and its consolidated offerings. This role will report to the Director of Brand and Content Marketing.


Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Consistently deliver content for our social media presence, using and ensuring correct grammar and mechanics, appropriate brand voice and tone, concise language and connected story telling.
  • Establish and maintain a plan for a consistent cadence of social content and influencer engagement; collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and managing projects with strict deadline adherence.
  • Develop and manage our social approval and escalation process, including a bank of responses to use across the business.
  • Measure engagement and performance to gauge success and utilize measurement results to inform new content.
  • Keep up with industry market trends and look for opportunities for trends to inform posts.
  • Collaborate with communications, content, and HR team members on DEIB and other topics.
  • Contribute to editorial planning meetings and brainstorms.
  • Increase internal engagement on social media channels through Bambu.


Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years in social media management roles, including social media strategic planning.
  • Experience building, executing, and scaling social media campaigns and using data and metrics to measure impact to inform improvements.
  • Experience working with multiple social media tools.
  • Experience using Adobe and other tools to develop creative elements for posts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to research and understand a market and its priorities, challenges, opportunities, drivers and influencers.
  • Excellent project management skills; must be able to organize work in a methodical and rigorous manner with the ability to manage multiple projects in an agile and deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with the social good sector a plus.
