Responsibilities & Requirements

The Sales Enablement Manager will act as an integrating role between various sales and marketing areas, including sales/marketing operations, sales training, product and segment marketing, and brand. This position is responsible for leading the enablement initiatives to support all revenue team roles (national accounts, territories, inside sales, enterprise sales, business development, etc.) to increase sales productivity and confidence, and support the sales force growth initiatives.

 

What You'll Do

 

  • Work with Portfolio marketing team members to deliver effective programs to ensure the revenue team has confidence in speaking and marketing to our target audiences
  • Work with sales leadership to identify competency gaps in product and market knowledge
  • Work with Training and Development team to coordinate market/product enablement and performance training efforts
  • Coordinate launch and delivery of assets and tools to the sales representatives
  • Own, manage, analyze, and evolve the quarterly sales confidence survey to keep a pulse on the needs of the sales teams
  • Research and recommend solutions, processes, and platforms to scale enablement activities
  • Define, manage, and communicate enablement KPIs across teams and leadership
  • Map sales processes with buyer processes to understand and identify what skills, knowledge, process, and tools are required by our salesforce to increase velocity and conversion rates at each stage/step in those processes
  • Develop and implement effective sales playbooks with specific sales plays aligned to various stages of the buyer journey. Manage and update playbooks based on seller feedback and shifting market demands
  • Regularly spend time with sales managers and reps to understand the “field reality” and build sales enablement deliverables to meet their needs
  • Hire, onboard, coach and manage small team .  Mentor employees so they can succeed in their positions
  • Evaluate, implement, roll out and manage a content management / sales enablement software/platform
  • Guide sales enablement associate in sales collateral creation and distribution

Requirements

 

  • 5+ years’ experience in a high-performance sales organization in sales, enablement, or learning and development
  • Experience creating and implementing successful sales process/methodology/sales playbook initiatives
  • Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring team in the past
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate
  • Ability to break down complex concepts in a simplified way
  • A passion/obsession for sales performance and a strong understanding of the sales environment, including sales content, tools, and training
  • Able to build internal relationships with sales and marketing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
